About the Chiquita Classic
Discover the PGA TOUR’s next top banana! The Chiquita Classic is one of four newly created Web.com Tour Finals Events that will be hosted at River Run Country Club in Davidson, NC. Official Tournament play will be held Thursday, September 5th through Sunday, September 8th. The golfers competing at the Chiquita Classic will not only be playing for one of the 50 PGA TOUR cards at stake, but also a purse of $1.0 million. The Chiqiuta Classic is driven to give back to the community. Over 55 local charities are participating this year in a Charity Ticket Program where 100% of the proceeds raised from General Admission Tickets go directly to those organizations.

About the Web.com Tour
Founded, owned and operated by the PGA TOUR, the Web.com Tour enters a new era in 2013 as it identifies those players who are ready to compete and win on golf’s biggest stage. Beginning in 2013, the Web.com has become THE path to the PGA TOUR, with all 50 available PGA TOUR cards coming through the Web.com Tour. The 25 leading money-winners on the Web.com Tour will be guaranteed cards at the end of the 21-event Regular Season in August. Twenty-five additional cards will go to those players who earn the most cumulative money in the four Finals events in September. Positioning on the PGA TOUR’s all-important priority ranking, which is used to form PGA TOUR fields, will be determined at the end of the Finals. The Finals will consist of the top 75 off the money list after the Regular Season, PGA TOUR members who are 126-200 on the FedExCup points list following the Wyndham Championship, and any non-members who earn enough FedExCup points to also finish 126-200.
